What do you specialize in or focus on in mental health treatment?:

Much of my work as of late is concentrated in psychological evaluations. The evaluations I conduct vary in their purpose, making the work more interesting and challenging. Specifically, I evaluate clients to help clarify diagnoses and treatment recommendations or to assess for difficulties that might be affecting academic functioning and providing recommendations to compensate for and/or treat the particular issues. I also conduct evaluations for the criminal court to assess defendants’ competency to stand trial and/or their mental status at the time of the offense. As one could imagine, all of these evaluations include different types of individuals and problems, and always keep me on my toes!

What do you do in your free time?

I enjoy spending my free time with my family and our dog. And if my very large extended family and their dogs can join, it’s a plus!
