What do you specialize in or focus on in mental health treatment?:
My approach to the therapeutic process starts with processing and exploring an individual’s childhood, significant events, how they interacted with others, and the relationships they had with important people and caregivers. From there, I like to explore their current behaviors and areas they feel they are struggling with to find the connection with past experiences to current daily life. Having this insight can help with the final step, which is exploring ways to improve and make changes in their life. Being able to hold space for an individual to explore and process traumatic events, emotions, relationships, and intrusive thoughts can help that individual feel more in control of their reactions and emotions and feel better equipped to cope with future struggles.
