Veronica is passionate about helping clients navigate life challenges while supporting the development of self- awareness and self- compassion. Holding an Masters Degree in Mental Health Counseling from Northwestern University and a certification in EMDR for trauma and PTSD, her therapeutic approach focuses on creating an environment where clients feel heard, respected, and empowered to participate actively in their own healing process.
Fluent in both English and Spanish, Veronica values building connections with individuals from diverse backgrounds. She focuses on guiding people through their healing process by encouraging self-reflection, enhancing coping skills, and nurturing personal development.
Veronica’s early career in education and her B.A. from Miami Dade College in Exceptional Student Education provided a strong foundation in working with individuals facing developmental, emotional, and behavioral challenges. She further honed her therapeutic skills through her internship at Counseling for Community Wellness, where she collaborated with professionals in the field to offer personalized, trauma-focused, mental health care.
Before her counseling roles, Veronica was a Program Manager for Academic Affairs & Student Experience at Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, where she managed executive education programs and enhanced student engagement.
What do you specialize in or focus on in mental health treatment?
I have experience with somatic healing, inner child work, and helping clients reconnect with themselves. I understand the challenges faced in family systems and incorporate a range of therapeutic techniques to address unprocessed trauma and emotional distress, while guiding clients to understand and process their physical and emotional experiences in an integrated manner.
What do you do in your free time?
I enjoy spending time with family and friends, practicing yoga, cooking, documentaries and reading self-development books.
